BE AWARE OF SCAMMERS

Southern Public Power District urges the public to be weary of callers who attempt to collect on electric bills.

Ongoing suspicious calls have been reported by local residents and businesses. Their methods are constantly changing, but their goal is to trick you into providing account information, or payment from various forms, including gift cards.

If you receive a phone call from a person claiming to be a representative of Southern Public Power District, hang up the phone and contact our office at 800-579-3019. We will verify for you the current status of your account. We also encourage you to contact local law enforcement if you receive such a call.

Do not attempt to call us with any numbers provided by the suspicious caller. Our accurate contact information can be found on our website at www.southernpd.com. You can also verify the current status of your account by reviewing your account information on our SmartHub online portal.
