Automatic Bill Payment (Auto Pay) is an electronic funds transfer payment. This option saves you the trouble of writing a check to pay your electric bill and paying the postage to mail it.
Once you are signed up, you will receive your billing notice(s) marked “Bill Paid by Auto Pay”. Ten days after the billing date (or the next banking day), we notify your financial institution of the amount to be transferred from your account to pay your electric bill.
Contact Southern’s Customer Services Department to sign up. You may also download a copy of the application form and return with a voided check to Southern’s Customer Services Department.
